Ways to Raise Money at Your Casino Night

  • Get sponsorship from local business to offset the cost of the gaming tables.  Offer them free tickets to the casino night for sponsoring
  • Host a silent auction by obtaining prize donations from local businesses, outside sales, real casinos, hotels, movie theaters, and sports teams.
  • Sell pre-sale tickets to prospective guests and get an idea of the total number of guests
  • Pick a venue and time.  Try and find a venue that will let you keep some of the alcohol sales revenue
  • An option to reduce cost is to use volunteers to deal blackjack.  Volunteers to take care of tasks such as cashiering, as our staff does not handle real money
  • Set up 50/50 raffles, wine pulls, and liquor pulls to add extra fun and boost fundraising at your casino night event.

How does a casino night fundraiser work?

As your guests check-in at the cashier, they will receive a set amount of casino chips. We recommend a starting amount between $500 and $1000. Money is raised for your organization through the pre-sale tickets, purchases of additional chips, raffle tickets or food & beverages.

Unlike Las Vegas, no real money is won as a result of gaming. Players become eligible to win prizes as casino night closes by exchanging their casino chips for raffle tickets. Prizes would need to be donated for several drawings at the end of the evening. A players chance to win a prize is limited by the number of raffle tickets they earned by playing the casino games. As an example: The dealers, managers, and cashiers can exchange $500.00 in chips for 1 raffle ticket.

Customer is respectable for all local and state laws and permits.

Checklist for the day of the event

  • Set up early at the facility
  • Change should be available at the “cash desk”.  Have an option for guests to donate by credit card.
  • Test P.A System/microphone to announce prizes.
  • Have sponsor signs and table numbers to place on all casino tables
  • If interested in having dealers with matching attire, look into options like bow-ties, shirts, and dealer hats available for volunteer dealers
  • Set up any prizes and silent auction tables.  Sign up for a fundraising software like Givesmart, to help the auction run smoothly.
  • Designate all tasks ahead of time – specifically, breakdown and clean up
  • Keep thorough notes for your next event – the second time is always easier

    Frequently Asked Casino Night Questions?

How does a casino party work?

Vegas on Wheels will arrive to set up all tables and equipment before your event begins. When guests arrive, they’ll receive a Casino Player’s Card representing “funny money” (we recommend $500–$1000). This card can be exchanged at any casino table for chips. Guests are free to move between games and cash out their chips for vouchers. At the end of the night, these vouchers can be used for raffle entries or prizes or play for fun, it’s up to you!

Are Casino Night Fundraisers Legal in Wisconsin?

Yes, casino night fundraisers are legal. It’s all for fun, with no real gambling involved.  Vegas on Wheels is strictly an entertainment company, and you are hiring us for casino night entertainment services.  Your guests wager with casino chips, and you will have the choice as the host if you would like them to win prizes at the end. There is no monetary requirement for them to participate. Guests of any age are allowed to play.

Do you play with real money?

No, all games are played with fake money or chips, so there’s no real gambling involved. It’s all about the experience, whether guests are playing for fun or for prizes, everyone enjoys the thrill of a real casino without the risk.

How does a casino night fundraiser make money?

A casino night fundraiser’s primary revenue source is ticket sales, sponsorship deals, and silent auction items. Look for companies in your area that can sponsor a table and help reduce costs. Sponsorships are often promoted through event signage, advertising, and recognition during the fundraiser.

What if someone doesn’t know how to play?

Our dealers are all friendly and trained professionals. Our staff aims to entertain your guests and teach players of all skill levels about the game. This ensures that everyone learns, has fun, and experiences the festive casino night atmosphere.

    How long does setup take?

Setup time depends on your venue and the number of tables ordered. On average, it takes about 15 minutes per table. We always arrive early to be fully set up before guests arrive. After the event, we break down quickly and quietly. Want us to wait until all guests have left? We can do that for a small additional fee.
